Man, If I had a dollar for every totally kick-ass tee shirt I own with the sleeves ripped off...I'd have like, 50 bucks.

On an otherwise "normal" night in Allston, I seem to have realized a few things.
We are right now living- in a very interesting time to be alive. People are wearing clothing inspired by the 1920's-30's...wearing hairstyles from the 1950's-60's...sneakers from the 1980's...and drinking pre-prohibition cocktails in the cities "coolest" bars...

Have we finally reached an era where we can appreciate how good we used to have it? Has this downward spiral of the dollar and the economy left us longing for glory days gone by? Or have we finally realized that it is not the clothing, cocktails or ever passing trends that define us....but it is after all the individuals whom we choose to spend these dwindling beer-soaked moments with. (?)

I sure hope it's the latter.

(as I twist off another top)
Yours truly,

-Peter J.

Interrupting our usual programing of beer soaked weekend recaps...

J. Newbury would like to tell all that we are going to be featured in the upcoming Boston University fashion show. The date is TBA as of now but late March is the window. All our welcome to attend...more details to follow...

I know what you are thinking...

Q) Do either Peter J. or J. Spencer attend BU?
A) Not exactly...define attend...

Q) Is it wise to have Peter J. around college girls?
A) Obviously.

Sorry for trailing off last night, but what do you expect, our ferry ride from St. Tomas to Tortolla was incredible. We squeezed in between tiny islands in the warm wind. The sky is full of stars as light pollution is not an issue here. We found our way to Road town harbor via taxi cab and we finally met up with the rest of our crew. After finding the boat, we immediately made our way over to the poolside bar at road town harbor and ordered a few rounds of pain killers and conch fritters.

I woke this morning before dawn and jumped in the pool just in time to hear the roosters crow. I bought two bottles of water and tried to hydrate for the rest of the day. The clouds that were present at dawn quickly dispersed and for the first time since Puerto Rico it's really starting to get HOT. The harbor has sprung to life and everywhere people are reading their yatchs and sailboats. We have chart briefing in a few minutes and then we're off...

The bitter end. We arrived at the bitter end today after our first three hour sail. The bitter end is located on Virgin Gorda, and a small series of coves make up the outline of the yatch club with outlying towns and huts across the cove. Gas, provisions and bars are on shore. We played pool and darts in the cantina on shore.

Immediately upon waking the next morning, we stared with breakfast and beers...We seem to have a surplus of peanut butter, bagles and cream cheese....actual food is scarce. Three of us took one of the zodiacs over to Leverick Bay where we explored some of the larger pleasure boats. We got a few red stripes, drank half of them in the tiki huts outside the marina, and finished them on our ride back to the boat....After a quick lunch, Dan and I went windsurfing. the wind wasn't always cooperating but with a few beers down we had no complaints about surfing through the glassy blue water. Surf lasted for an hour and our buzz was starting to run low. We somehow met up with everyone else on shore and found a beach cabana at the far end of the town. there was a chair there for each of us...almost as if they were waiting there for us. Four of us went back to the boat feeling well rested and started with what some people may call an overly aggressive cocktail hour. We made gallon jugs of grog, and we were soon three sheets to the wind. While a few of us took a much need nap, the remainder of of crew went back on shore for what the thought would be a few harmless beers....

They soon found themselves however on a 70 foot viking drinking some rich couples Grey Goose. I'm not sure what happened exactly, but all I know is when they returned none of them were even coming close to making sense...

More to follow....

-Peter J.
